I\’m merely engaging in plain talk to ensure the truth is understood. And unfortunately it\’s a fairly ugly truth regarding the attitudes of this element of labor in NSW. They are quite extreme.

But it would be foolish to think that there is one view on this inside the labor movement. Labor as we know it today involves a diverse range of views which is \’managed\’ through processes of \’tension\’. Look at Victoria which orginally under labor headed in a NSW type OHS direction yet did a complete u turn and now provides THE model for desired OHS laws.

It\’s how this tension plays out that is critical to the OHS harmonisation outcome nationally and in NSW. Lets hope that \’modern\’ labor prevails over \’old\’ labor.
