I do not believe for one minute that there has been any real reduction, except in the area of service and benefits to injured workers. The system is morally bankrupt and needs to be completely overhauled, with the emphasis on looking after the interests of injured workers and their families.

The management of injury prevention and compensation in the state of South Australia is appalling and our politicians should be thoroughly ashamed of themselves for supporting any legislation or changes to legislation that is directly aimed at disadvantaging the already disadvantaged injured worker, who starts off a claimby being penalised for being injured from day one of a claim, when he/she loses 9% of income through the removal of the superannuation contribution.

Maybe if the parliamentary crowd provided the wherewithal to support highly pro active, in your face, injury prevention inspection and enforcement we just might see what Minister Holloway suggests is happening. If what he says is true, how come the unfunded liability for workers compensation in Australia has not diminished by any significant amount.

Sounds like the \”Whirlpool\” spin dryer is in good order.
